|I LOVE photographing families. I love capturing their interactions, a parent's love for their child, and the playfulness of kids just being kids. My clients know I don't do much posing and that really, the kids are "in charge" of my photo shoots. :) I want them to be happy and just be themselves so that I can capture their little (or big) personalities. Many times I end up with the child wrapped around my legs or sitting on my lap at some point...which makes taking photos of them quite difficult. :) But, it makes me so happy because it tells me that I'm doing my job!
This is Donovan and his wonderful parents who gave me the honor to photograph them for the 2nd time. Donovan has changed a lot in just 1 year and I had so much fun capturing him again! We started the shoot at the Lafayette Club so that their dog Wrighley could be in some of the photos. Then we ventured out on their boat on Lake Minnetonka for the most beautiful sunset. My favorite moment was when Donovan's parents told me that he was learning Spanish. So, I asked Donovan, "How do you say 'one' in Spanish?" Donovan replied, "One in Spanish!" Needless to say, it was an extremely fun shoot and I'm already looking forward to next year's! :)
I knew it would be a good photo shoot when this was the first picture I took...
