Welcome and thank you for stopping by! My name is Erika and I'm a photographer who is living her dream! As you will see through my photographs, I am constantly focused on capturing real, natural moments and creating timeless images that make you feel something - have it be tears, joy, laughter or even if it simply brings a smile to your face. My ultimate goal is to create images that speak to your soul.

This blog is dedicated to my photography and life - both on a professional and personal level. I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts and viewing the photos. Oh how I love when my wedding clients have babies!! :) I photographed Mindee & Steve's wedding in 2007 and just couldn't wait to meet the newest member of their family. Little 6-week-old Frankie is just a peanut and I think he really liked having his picture taken. :) It was pretty funny because last time I photographed this family, Mindee & Steve were my main focus and now Frank has stolen the spotlight! :)

I love everything about this photo - the emotion, the light, and of course the GORGEOUS furniture that Steve made for Frank!

Having your picture taken is hard work! :)

Addison

It's always so much fun to photograph families who I've worked with in the past and I always feel so privileged to document their children as they grow up. This shoot was especially great, as we are neighbors and have become fast friends! :) Addison is just about to turn one and I can't believe how much she's changed from the last time I photographed her! She's just the sweetest little girl. :)

The first picture I took I asked Addison how old she was going to be....here was her response. :) For those of you that follow my work you know that I am not a "smile-at-the-camera" type of photographer. Instead I try to capture the real moments where real emotion, smiles and personalities are documented. This just so happens to be a one of those REAL moments. :)

Katie & Kevin

June 25, 2009 Weddings

Some of my favorite weddings to shoot are the ones in which I have worked with the family in the past. Everyone is at ease, knows what to expect and it's like we're old friends! I photographed Katie's brother's wedding in September 2008 and I was so honored to be asked to capture yet another Andrews wedding. :)

Katie & Kevin were literally beaming the entire day and I know I say this a lot, but their wedding seriously was flawless from start to finish. They are such sweet, genuine people and absolutely perfect for each other!

I have had the privilege to photograph this sweet little family for 3 years now and I am always so excited to see them to capture their heart-warming smiles. We had such a nice morning in the park together playing "Tag You're It" and climbing trees. :)

Grace, who is a whopping 7 years old, is such a good big sister to her almost-4-year-old brother Noah!
